"While
attending this years Heritage Days, I was out early one
morning with my camera when I came across a family of
deer. There was a Doe with two spotted fawns, a four
point buck in velvet, and an adolescent Doe. They were
just east of the depot down by the field close to the
lake. When the doe got close to a cattail with a redwing
blackbird on it the bird flew onto the back and head of
the deer and was feeding on bugs, and the deer was not
even flinching a bit." - Michael Conner
